Visiting the solarium whilst being partially burnt, along with using a heat activated accelerator is not a good idea and I can honestly say I am now scarred for life (hopefully just metaphorically speaking)
My saviour?? (please, god, let it work) is Garnier Ambre Solarie After Sun. With Cactus extract, Shea butter and glycerol this hydrating milk cools and soothes skin for up to 12 hours.
I now have another thing to add to my To Do List Before I Move To London...visit the skin cancer clinic and have my 'sun spots' checked out.

Being from Texas, I am a sunburn expert. First of all, drink lots of water. Keep hydrated.
Then use AloVera topically on the sunburn. You can even use it straight off the plant if you want, or you can get any kind of after sun treatment that has it as it's main ingredient. There really is nothing better.
And in the future...base tan first, and then the real suntan. Always get the base tan first. Then you will never burn.
Hey! I like your blog...it's so interesting!
I totally had to do the same thing. Vow to stay out of the tanning salon. Sad thing is California has its own tanning salon once you step outside, and a huge pool (ala beach) to lay by all day long.
it is SO bad for your skin!!!! like miranda from SATC says, you dont wanna look like "a 27-year-old handbag"!!!! im glad you've finally decided to stop =D
oh and not to mention the st lopez tan is SO on its way out. i know its such an asian thing to say but we A-DORE porcelain complexion ehehehe... kate blanchette's and gemma ward's are to die for! =P
its so funny that it is SO hard to find tanning products here in asian countries unless you really go dig for them... whereas whitening products are nowhere to be seen in countries like australia (they start introducing them now though). i know i sound like a total weirdo but i do carry a parasol to beach during summer lol
